An aircraft owned by airlines U.S. Airways had emptied during stopover in Philadelphia, the United States after a bomb threat message. However, after examination in the plane, found no explosives.
Flight Flight 968 was arriving from Glasgow, Scotland, and was preparing to leave Philadelphia International Airport to Anchorage, Alaska when the Transportation Security Agency (TSA) ordered all the passengers descended from the plane.
"No explosives were found," said FBI Special Agent JJ Klaver told AFP news agency on Saturday (06/08/2011).
He said the threatening letter was received in London, England, and handed over to the FBI by police at Scotland Yard. Because no bomb found, then the investigation into the incident is terminated.
TSA previously stated, it decided to lower the passenger and carry out checks on the aircraft as a form of prudence after receiving a message containing a threat.
"We got a call from the TSA and after the talks, we evacuate the flight," said U.S. Airways spokeswoman Valerie Wunder airlines.
The plane was carrying 157 passengers.
