Libyan President Muammar Gaddafi has called on residents to fight the rebels are moving towards Tropoli. The rebels themselves have been in panggiran city of Tripoli and is currently being launched an offensive to overthrow the city of Tripoli
"I was scared when we do not act, they will burn Tripoli," said Muammar Gaddafi over the television broadcast of the government to its citizens as reported by Reuters on Monday (8/22/2011).
"No water, food, electricity and even freedom," he added.
Currently, thousands of rebels are moving towards the Libyan capital, Tripoli. The insurgents have even taken over one of the barrack's elite troops Gaddafi led by one of his sons is Friday. Secretly, too, the insurgents had been preparing an attack on Tripoli for months and began launching attacks on Tripoli in a few days ago.
"I gave the order to open a stock of weapons," said Gaddafi. "I call on all citizens of Libya to join this fight. They are afraid, it can give the gun to your mother or your brother," he shouted.
