President Obama Yanked From Tennessee Bookstore

Bookstores University of Tennessee at Knoxville has suspendedsales of breath mints package because it has been mocking Obama after a Democratic law makers complain

The product is called, "disappoint-candy" and no picture on the label president.
State Rep. Joe Armstrong told the Knoxville News Sentinel he found the candy breath attack.

Then she was curious to ask her students
that of the candy so he decided to go to the bookstore to investigate.
He said it's a breath freshener "has been insulting the president"and said the university should be sensitive to what is called a"political product."

But others find the outrage over "disappointing-candy" will be a strong curiosity - which suggests that removing the product is a form of censorship.

"Let me make very clear, no exceptions candy for the First Amendment," said Glenn Reynolds, professor of constitutional law, a newspaper.

"Freedom of speech is freedom of speech. If you make fun of the president at the mint, it's just as freedom of speech as much as itis if you make fun of the president in political cartoons."

Bookstore manager said the store had previously done satirebreath mints former President George W. Bush - but no one has ever complained.

Tennessee Republicans quickly pounced on the Democrats forwhat they call hypocrisy.

"This is clearly disappointing and shameful that the Democratswill choose to try and restrict freedom of speech on a college campus," said Chris Devaney, chairman of the TennesseeRepublican Party

"They can not accept criticism of their president. The bottom line is that Democrats are out of line."

Devaney said he was not Obama-themed tasting breath mints, but in light of the controversy he may return.

"I think I'll go get some," he said.
