Chelsea moved quickly after their efforts to get Luka Modric deadlocked. West London club's Portugal international midfielder Raul Meireles, from Liverpool.
Chelsea really had been linked with Meireles some time now. The Blues manager, Andre Villas-Boas, reportedly wants reunion with his former Porto them.
Meireles himself this season excluded from the core team Liverpool. The presence of Charlie Adam and Jordan Henderson made him start mengakrabi bench.

"Chelsea are happy to announce the hiring Raul Meireles from Liverpool with a contract for four years," the statement on Chelsea's official website.
During the season defending Liverpool, Meireles appeared 44 times in all competitions and contributed five goals.
