The beginning of the Spanish League was delayed due to strike players. The strike has the potential for ongoing and future competitions can be more uncertain.
On Saturday (20/08/2011) local time, organizers held a meeting between Division 1 and 2 Spanish league with the Spanish Football Association (AFE). But the meeting was deadlocked.
"Our position is still far apart and difficult to finish everything in just one day," said President Luis Rubiales AFE as preached Yahoosports.
"Within two or three days ahead will be a time to learn the options available and from there we will find solutions," Rubiales said that once a Levante player.
"Currently, we are still on strike decision and if this situation is not resolved, then we will not play," Rubiales said.
The professional players from 42 clubs in Division 1 and 2 La Liga strike as a form of request that is no guarantee for payment of their salaries and wages of 72 million U.S. dollars owed by the club's players.
Spanish League organizers said they would once again held a meeting with the AFE on Monday (22 / 8) to 'continue the dialogue open and stop the strike'.
